4. Transit Visa: Transit visas are applicable for:
· Transiting via Thailand in order to travel to another destination country or to re-enter the home country

Tourist Visa On Arrival
The Visa on Arrival allows passport holders to enter Thailand for a period of 30 days if you arrive by air and 15 days if travelling via land borders.
This visa can be directly obtained at the port of entry in Thailand. The most common entry points from India are the Suvarnabhumi or Don Muang airports in Bangkok. On arrival, you will need an Arrival card which is usually provided during your flight and is also available at the airport counters. You will also need to fill up a Visa on Arrival form, a copy of this form is available in our Document Checklist section, which also provides a list of supporting documentation to carry with you.
Airports have clearly designated Visa on Arrival counters where you can proceed to with all your documentation. Do note that a fee of 1000 THB is required to be paid. If you require Thai currency, there are 24 hour money changers near the Visa on Arrival counters to convert your foreign exchange to Thai Baht. A photo booth is also available incase you need to click a photograph for your application.
The staff at the counter will run a preliminary check and if documentation is in order, will give you a paper token with a number which you can use to wait at the relevant Immigration Counter. After a couple of minutes, you will be called by your token number where the visa fee receipt will be returned. A blank visa stamp is affixed on the passport here. Once you are done, the immigration process will begin at the Immigration Section that takes another few minutes. At the immigration counter, photo of the passenger is taken with a digital camera and stamping on the passport is completed by immigration officers. You can then proceed to collect your luggage.

For all other Visa Types, apart from Visa on Arrival, need to be secured in advance through the Thai missions located in the country.

If your Visa Application form is incomplete or any document is missing, you will be requested to complete the same and then collect a fresh token to re-submit your application.

After having made the payment, do not forget to collect the acknowledgement receipt which you will need to provide at the time of collecting the visa.

For in person collection, you will need to carry your ID and acknowledgment receipt in order to receive the token number and get your passport.

If your Visa Application form is incomplete or any document is missing, you will be requested to complete the same and then collect a fresh token to re-submit your application.
You are then required to pay the applicable Visa Fee and Service Charges at the cashier counter. You have an option to collect your passport via courier for extra charges. Details of the charges are available on the Visa Application Centre links cited above.
After having made the payment, do not forget to collect the acknowledgement receipt which you will need to provide at the time of collecting the visa.

Now that you are done with submitting the visa application, you can always track your application through the ‘Track Your Application’ page available at the relevant Visa Application Centre websites.
For in person collection, you will need to carry your ID and acknowledgment receipt in order to receive the token number and get your passport.
The processing time for Thai Visa is usually is 3 working days excluding the date of submission, Saturday, Sundays and Public Holidays
